October 8, 2006 - KGO Two weeks ago a new company took over running the Alcatraz ferry from longtime ferry operator Blue and Gold. The new operators of this ferry are not running a union shop and the former captains and deckhands want their jobs back.
Six union leaders locked arms to block the gate of the new Alcatraz ferry operator. San Francisco police arrested the union representatives for trespassing.
